Young fellow Dupes His Friend of N2.4m, Sets Him Up At Computer Village, Lagos

A suspected conman, Eruagah T. has been captured after he hoodwinked his chest companion, Vitalis Darlinton to the tune of N2.4m and set him up at the PC town in Lagos.

The occurrence occurred in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where both the suspect and the casualty dwelled. In any case, the presume deceived the casualty to Lagos and set him up.

As indicated by PM Express, Darlinton had educated Eruagah that he had sufficiently collected cash to movement abroad for greener fields. It was when Eruagah found that the casualty really had such enormous cash that he guaranteed to help him to secure travel reports.

It was assembled that after the casualty gave him the cash, he acquired phony travel records and conveyed him to Lagos having persuaded him that he had effectively paid for the ticket for his voyaging.

He gathered the telephone and imagined as though he was heading off to the bank however got away to Ikotun to offer the telephone.

He was unfortunate after he had consulted with the purchaser who requested for a receipt and he couldn't deliver any. He was given over to the police at Ikotun Division who kept and cross examined him.

Before at that point, Darlington has been gathered together in the market as a criminal and was going to be lynched after they had sat tight for Eruagah without much of any result.

Be that as it may, the casualty was fortunate as the police utilized Eruagah's telephone to call him. The casualty picked the call and described to the police what Eruagah had done and that his life was in peril at the Computer Village.

The police at that point surged down to Ikeja, saved and conveyed him to the police headquarters with the proprietor of shop, where the telephone was recuperated and offered back to the proprietor.

Amid the cross examination, Eruagah admitted that he secured counterfeit papers and accordingly the casualty can't travel abroad with the reports.

He was charged under the watchful eye of Ejigbo Magistrates court for taking the telephone and for duping his companion.

He argued not liable.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. F.J. Layeni conceded Eruagah safeguard in the whole of N300,000 with two sureties in like total.

He was remanded in jail guardianship pending when he will consummate his safeguard condition.

The issue has been deferred till 28 February, 2018, for trial.
