The Army said it had captured a local specialist, Tordue Gber (Tiv Swem), who supposedly went about as profound guide to the needed outfitted criminal volunteer army, Akwazar Terwase (nom de plume Gana), in Benue.

An announcement by Brig.- Gen Sani Usman, the Director of Army Public Relations, on Tuesday, said the suspect was grabbed in Tor-Dunga town in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of the state amid an assault on his sanctuary.

Usman said troops of 707 Special Forces Brigade captured Gber on Monday amid the operation.

It will be reviewed that Terwase was announced needed by the security offices and has been on the loose since 2016.

"Preparatory examination demonstrates that Tordue Gber (Tiv Swem) goes about as otherworldly advisor that gives Gana "underhanded" forces and the place of worship fills in as den for needed outfitted volunteer army, meeting and arranging point for operations and coordinations base for the criminal equipped local armies that work in Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba States.

"The local specialist was captured alongside one of his assistant, Atoo Kuwe Francis, while wanting to complete an assault and snatch one Mr. Zaya at Tse Bente town in a similar neighborhood government zone," he said.

The armed force representative, in any case, said Tordue was shot dead "amid the battle to incapacitate him."

Usman said the troops recouped a privately manufactured gun, two baretta Pistols, 11 rounds of 9mm ammo, three cruisers and arranged charms from the hallowed place

Different things recouped, he said were clothings for disguising weapons, two cell phones and three power generators, among different things at the refuge.
